The Pranamat Eco is essentially an acupressure mat. A massage mat, if you will. Acupressure mats have many benefits and have been known to:

The Pranamat is made up of hundreds of tiny hard plastic spikes in the shape of lotus flowers. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, the benefits are truly astounding.

If you’re anything like me, your first time using the Pranamat will be a little…shocking. When you feel just how hard and spiky the lotus flowers are, you may question if you really and truly want to lay on them with your bare skin.
At least, this was my first impression when I started using the Pranamat.
BUT! Once you get past the initial intensity and pressure of the mat, that’s when the magic happens. You begin to feel the relaxing benefits and the pressure isn’t so shocking.
It’s recommended to lay on the Pranamat for a minimum of 20 minutes for maximum benefits but you can remain on the Pranamat for as long as you’d like.
Personally, for me the benefits of the mat are truly amazing. Due to my chronic illness, I experience a lot of muscle pain and circulation issues.
I notice a big difference in both of these when I am consistent with the Pranamat. I also feel a sense of calm and relaxation. Which is much needed in my stressful life!

The purpose of the Pranamat Eco is to stimulate the pressure points found on the body to encourage the release of endorphins, which in turn help the body achieve a parasympathetic state.
When the body is in this state, it’s in a state of healing, resting, and digesting. This is the optimal state for the body! And the Pranamat can help us get there. This is why a session on the Pranamat can be likened to a full body massage.

1. For your first time, I recommend keeping your clothes on to get used to the mat. After that, you can keep your clothes on or choose to use the mat with as much bare skin as possible.
2. I would also recommend using it on a bed or couch, before using it on the floor. This will add a little more cushion and be a more pleasant experience.
3. Be consistent! Finding a way to use the mat in your daily life will increase your results. You’ll love the time you get to relax and heal!
4. Place a rolled up towel under the mat where it hits your mid back. This helps the accupressure points hit all the areas of your back. It feels so good! You can also do this to the pillow, so it can connect better to the curvature of your neck. Ahh, even just talking about it makes me crave a session!
5. Using right before bed can promote restful sleep.
